"Living in a Banana Dream" Going Through a Makeover

Some of you have been asking how my collection of short stories, "Living in a Banana Dream" is doing. Good question. First, a little history. 

This is a collection of stories about growing up in a time when the toughest part of the day was making sure you had enough kids for a pickup game of baseball or the anguish of going out on your first date. It's told in what humorist Jean Shepherd called, "the universal 'I'". These are stories that could be about you, or you, or me. 

Well, after shopping it around and getting a lot of positive feedback from publishers and agents, but no takers, I sat down and took a look at the manuscript and agreed with the pros who had reviewed it - it needed a little tightening up.  

So, the manuscript is currently undergoing a little makeover and will be hitting the streets again by this fall. We'll see what happens then. It will definitely be hitting the e-book market by then. I'll keep you updated.
